Pigment ink
Pigment ink, as the name suggests, contains pigments. Pigments are organic color molecules that are encapsulated in a synthetic resin and suspended in a liquid to form ink. This material changes the color of the light it reflects because it can selectively absorb colors.
Typically the pigments used to make pigment ink are dry in powder form. These powders are added to a vehicle (a relatively neutral or colorless material that acts as an adhesive). Once the ink is dyed with pigments, we obtain pigment ink.
